Cleveland, One Year Later

Time flies when you’re having fun.

Today is my one year Back-in-CLEversary! When I first arrived last October, I had no idea what it’d be like to be back after many years away, how long I’d stay, how happy I would be. I resolved to embrace CL and all of my life changes with the most positive approach I could find. And I have to say Cleveland, this has been one of the best years of my lucky life.

Spending lots of time with my family, reconnecting with steadfast CL friends, meeting new friends, finding a whole lot more time and money to travel than I’ve had in years, a beautiful kitchen to cook in, lots of awesome CL restaurants to dine in, lots of new spots to explore and starting up this little blog to record it all. A city that I took for granted for the first 18 years of my life has taken on a whole new charm in my 28th year. I’m having a blast.

Cleveland feels so humble and loyal and real and I feel home for the first time in a long time. Travel is the best and trying new things is crucial but sometimes it’s nice to settle down and breathe. Instead of spending the year stressing over where I should be and what I should be doing, I’ve enjoyed the ride with the things and people that I love. Big exhale.

So thanks Cleveland, you’re a keeper. Happy one year and here’s to what’s to come, whatever that may be :).

xo Beth
