What a delicious weekend!
It was my birthday Part I, as my actual birthday falls in the middle of the week and next weekend I’m headed out of town to celebrate some more. Of course, this weekend’s festivities included enjoying some delicious meals with loved ones and even checking a few places off my Cleveland Bucket List.
Friday night, my friends and I enjoyed a delightful meal at SOHO.
Amanda, me, May
I LOVED the atmosphere, funky and cozy and boisterous all at once. I enjoyed a lovely glass of a white wine blend, heavenly buttery biscuits and crab-stuffed rainbow trout. And the company of some very old, very good friends.
But of course that wasn’t nearly enough for one weekend, so Saturday my family and I headed over to Hodge’s for some more CL eats.
Scallops and butternut squash risotto were my main course, which I almost didn’t need after a stream of sweet potato tots, the softest, sweetest, melt-in-your-mouth skillet cornbread, wild mushroom and Ohio City pasta gnocchi and mussels in coconut curry to start. Phew! Everything was a real treat.
Life is short and you never know what happens next. So celebrate the crap out of it everyday you can, I say. What a happy weekend.
